Don’t Lay Blames!

Don’t Lay Blames!

Blaming your father or mother or an acquaintance for your misfortune is responding to a lie from the pit of hell. When you realise that no one can dictate your destiny but you and God, you will live a new kind of life. When you make His word a priority, He would direct your path. In other words, give Him a free course to direct all your affairs. Don’t waste your precious time blaming someone for any misfortune in your life. Whether someone wronged you or not, God will restore your wasted years. He would redeem your years in fruitful measures. Think the best thoughts about others, see the best in others, and believe that if you can be kind, and walk in love, others can do the same. If you’ve made mistakes, relax. God has just started a new thing, to turn these mistakes, for development.

“Be ye therefore followers of God as dear children: And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us and hath given himself for us as an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet smelling savour.” (Ephesians 5: 1-2)

You can forget the losses and the hurts. Start afresh. Don’t put yourself in a vacuum. Don’t wallow in ignorance and enjoy it. Everyone wants to be identified with success, square your shoulders because you are a bundle of success. Some attitudes are rampant today: children running away from home simply because they refuse to be controlled by their parents. Christians moving from Church to Church, evidently as a result of wanting to have their own way. There is no discipline over their appetite. We have to train ourselves and rule our hearts with the word of God. Renew your mind with the word daily. When people believe they have an option they can afford to takes things for granted. Careless talks, expensive jokes, inconvenient jesting, mockery should never be associated with a believer. As little as they seem, the Spirit of God detests them. They rob you of your true nature; they destroy your personality and belittle you. As a matter of fact, let it never be in the life of an anointed vessel of God like you!

“Let all bitterness, wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice: And be ye kind one to another, tender hearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven us.” (Ephesians 4:31).

Relationships

Relationships

Every new creation in Christ is a peculiar person. If you are born again, you are not ordinary. Ordinary people regard themselves as common; the masses. They have no voice, no face and no identity. They are hidden in the crowd, carrying a frown with worry wrinkles and no confidence in themselves, or anyone. They speak empty words; they are at war with everyone. They like no one, including themselves. They have an identity crisis.

Ordinary people are ashamed of the gospel; they have no hope but have accepted defeat. One sad characteristic of ordinary people, which makes them stagnant in life is their refusal to accept the authority of the Word of God. The Word is indestructible; it cannot deny itself, it’s quick and powerful. It’s obviously devastating to hang around with ordinary people because they have no regard for the things of God. The Bible describes them as the simple. Proverbs 22:3 says, “the prudent man foreseeth the evil and hideth himself but the simple pass on and are punished”. ‘Punished’ here, comes from the word ‘suffer’. In other words, the simple pass on and suffer. They suffer because of negligence. King Saul suffered torment; he wallowed in fear, timidity, unrest. Though he was God’s choice, he suffered because of his complacent attitude to the things of God (1 Samuel 13-15). The simple man suffers for many reasons. The very first mistake he makes is regarding God’s precious possession (themselves) as ordinary and acting so. This attitude of belittling God is an offence on its own. Stooping so low and trying to make the word of God of non-effect is offensive. Defiling your body which is the temple of the living God is profane in itself. Living without regard for the things of God is opening the doors to suffering. Hence the simple man is tossed around by every wind of doctrine. He has no base, no specific local assembly he identifies with; he’s just a Church inspector. The Bible says that the simple believes every word; irrespective of where it’s coming from. He believes every lie, fable, myth and tale; because he’s not grounded in the truth.

The Spirit of WISDOM

August 27, 2010 in Community by Tonia

The Spirit of WISDOM

And the spirit of the Lord shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom…” (Isaiah 11:2).

The Spirit of wisdom is the One Who brings you the wisdom of God. Paul prayed for the Ephesian Christians “that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him:” (Ephesians 1:17), because he observed that the Ephesian Christians were demonstrating the power and glory of God, but lacked wisdom and revelation knowledge. This is what happens to a lot of God’s people. They have the gifts of the Spirit; they can prophesy and have great things happen, but when it comes to walking in the wisdom and knowledge of the things of God, they’re found wanting. Such people need to pray that God will grant them the Spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him. Then they’ll be balanced. To appreciate the work of the Spirit of wisdom, we must first understand what wisdom is. You may not find these definitions in any English dictionary because true wisdom can only be defined by the Spirit of God. The Accurate Definition of Wisdom

Wisdom is so often defined as the ability to apply knowledge. This definition is inadequate and is usually employed by those who don’t understand what real wisdom is. However, when you have the Spirit of wisdom functioning in you, you’d understand how to define wisdom.

Firstly, Wisdom is a force. It’s the divine insight into the plans and purposes of God. It’s understanding spiritual realities. Wisdom can also be defined as the insight of knowledge and the controlling power of insight. Wisdom is insight into reality (truth), foresight into the future. It causes you to understand what others can’t see. With wisdom, you can rightly judge what others can’t figure out. I said wisdom is a force; it’s more than an ability. You can have the ability to do something and not do it. For example, you’re looking at a glass and you know you’re supposed to remove it from where it is. You also know you have the ability to do so, but you don’t do it. That’s not wisdom. Wisdom causes you to do what you should do! If you have the ability to apply knowledge and you don’t apply it, or you know what’s right to do and you don’t do it, you’re not wise. In fact, you’ll be described as a fool, because you knew what to do and how to do it but you still didn’t do it!

The wisdom of God has the power to cause you to say what you should say, do what you should do and think what you should think. It makes you go where you should go. Wisdom is not passive; it’s manifested by action. When Paul said, “For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure,” he was talking about the Spirit of wisdom working in us. Wisdom is the controlling power that works in us, not just to will, but also to do God’s good pleasure. It’s a force that propels, compels, moves, and motivates. It brings you understanding, information, insight, and knowledge. Wisdom is all-encompassing.

Here’s what Wisdom has to say of Himself: “I wisdom dwell with prudence, and find out knowledge of witty inventions” (Proverbs 8:12). Wisdom says, “I don’t go alone, I have prudence (discretion or good judgment in practical affairs) and knowledge with me.” You have insight and foresight because the Spirit of wisdom brings them to you. But His ministry doesn’t stop there; He lets loose within your system that controlling force that causes you to act wisely. With Wisdom, You Have It Made! When you lack wisdom, you may think the wrong thoughts, say the wrong words, do the wrong things, and make the wrong choices. And most of the problems people have are caused by the wrong choices they made.

Leaders make the wrong choices because they lack wisdom, and as a result nations are thrown into turmoil. People make wrong investments and lose money because they don’t have the wisdom of God. Someone marries the wrong person and gets stuck in an unsavoury marriage because he or she lacks wisdom. But when Wisdom resides in you, it will pilot you in the right direction. That’s why you need the Spirit of wisdom operating in your life.

When the Spirit of wisdom functions in you, life becomes bright and exciting. In Proverbs 3:13-14, Solomon the wisest man to live before Jesus said, “Happy is the man that findeth wisdom and the man that getteth understanding. For the merchandise of it is better than the merchandise of silver and the gain thereof than fine gold.” This is the secret! If you find wisdom, you have it made. You cannot fail or be poor, no, not with wisdom!

“She (wisdom) is more precious than rubies: and all the things thou canst desire are not to be compared unto her. Length of days is in her right hand; and in her left hand riches and honour. Her ways are ways of pleasantness, and all her paths are peace” (Proverbs 3:15-17). When wisdom is working in you, your life will be full of peace. You won’t ever have to worry about lack, want, sickness, disease, or anything contrary to the good life. The Hebrew word translated “peace” is “shalom.” Shalom doesn’t just depict quietness and tranquility or an environment where no one is disturbing you. More importantly, shalom means peace with prosperity; peace with everything going on perfectly and under your control. Shalom is a state of completeness, wholeness, total well-being, health and prosperity that produces rest. Thus, shalom is the peace of God that gives prosperity, health, strength, and advantage. When you have such peace, you’ll sleep like a baby. You won’t sleep fitfully and you won’t need pills to knock you off to sleep every night. When I sleep, I sleep well! When I laugh, I laugh heartily, not like someone who’s trying to. I live a tremendous life because of the peace that wisdom brings.

The Spirit of The Lord Empowers You

The Spirit of The Lord Empowers You

Jesus told His disciples, “ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth” (Acts 1:8). But before this time, He had told them to wait in the city of Jerusalem until they were endued with power from on high (Luke 24:49). On the day of Pentecost, when the Holy Ghost came upon them, they received and were endued (clothed) with supernatural power to preach and teach the Word of God. When that happened, they went out and began to speak, knowing that the Holy Spirit would impregnate their words with power to save those who heard them.

Peter knew that power had come. That was why he could tell the man at the Beautiful Gate, “Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk” (Acts 3:6), and when the man didn’t respond, he grabbed him by the hand and lifted him up. Then his ankle bones received strength and he began to walk. Peter knew he had power; he knew the Spirit of the Lord was upon him. Let me remind you that the same Spirit that was upon Jesus, the Chief Cornerstone, is upon each one of us living stones.

Jesus said in Luke 4:18-19 , “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the broken hearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.”

Did you catch the point of this? It means that when the Spirit of the Lord comes upon you, He anoints you to tell the good news. And when you tell it, it doesn’t come to your hearers as mere words but with the divine power and ability to give life.

Your World Count it all Joy!

August 19, 2010 in Community by Tonia

Your World Count it all Joy!

Whenever you study the Word of God, you draw up joy from the well of salvation. The confession of God’s word puts you in a joyful position always. This way you make power available in your spirit, as you become filled with the Holy Ghost. We are joyful because God has done it. When Jesus Christ finished the work God sent Him to do, He said, `All hail!’, as a note of victory for every believer. The Bible records that the disciples were full of joy after Jesus Christ had finished speaking to them. He said,

“And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name, shall they cast out devils, they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover” (Mark 16:17-18).

A child of God should be joyful because the greater one dwells in him. He has been given all authority to operate in heaven, on earth and under the earth by the use of the name of Jesus. Jesus became poor for our sakes, that we might become rich. He completed everything and now we are complete (perfected) in Him. Whosoever is born of God should never think that he cannot make it because he can do all things through Christ who strengthens him (Philippians 4:13). The Bible says that we are more than conquerors (Romans 8:32), because we move with supernatural power. We do not move with man’s ability but with God’s ability. The Bible says in James 1:2-3: “…Count it all joy, when ye fall into diverse temptations; Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.”

This does not mean praising God for adverse situations but praising Him in spite of them. A miracle does not occur because you see the miracle but when you believe the miracle. When Jesus told the lame man to stand up on his feet and walk, he obeyed the Word of God and he saw the miracle. He did not see the miracle with his physical eyes before he obeyed. He obeyed, and then, the miracle came. Count it all joy when you fall into diverse kinds of temptations because there is a miracle on the way. Just believe God’s word as it comes to you. You may ask yourself, `How is it possible for someone to be full of joy when he is faced with temptations or hard times?’ It is possible because, the re-created human spirit is meant to be joyous at all times. Things might not work out fine, but when you are joyful, you are indirectly saying, `My God shall do it’.

The atmosphere of joy puts God in operation. It makes Him act fast; it hastens Him to perform His Word concerning you. You have to count it all joy when you are in a temptation because the Word of God already declares that you can handle any situation that comes your way. God has made you all sufficient. He has made you complete in Him.

When you fall into diverse kinds of temptations, all you need is to be joyful because you have His strength and ability in you. You do not walk on your own anymore, you now walk with God. He is with you always, even unto the end of the earth. Joy is the evidence of God’s presence. We know that in His presence there is fullness of joy and at His right hand pleasures forever more. This is not just for a moment. You must count it all joy even when all that is happening to you is not fun. Just know that God’s children will prosper, even in dry times. God knows how to satisfy His children. He knows how to put laughter in their mouths. Psalms 126:1-2 says, “When the LORD turned again the captivity of Zion, we were like them that dream. Then was our mouth filled with laughter, and our tongue with singing: then said they among the heathen, The LORD hath done great things for them.”

The people who walked with God saw His good deeds and they found themselves living in joy everyday. Joy is expressive; you just find your mouth filled with laughter, so much so, that people will begin to wonder what the source of your happiness is. But you know within you that it is God at work and, you can be rest assured that what God has started to do in your life will be perfected. When you see the greatness of God being manifested in your life, you cannot help but rejoice. God will make everything in your life work in accordance with His Word, as long as you believe in Him. God’s word is bound to work when you declare it. The life we live is a life of joy a joy that must be expressed. We must let people know that we have a God who is alive, and He has given us the victory. Our mouths must be filled with laughter, not the kind that mocks people. But the laughter of joy in appreciation of what God has done for us. Even when you cannot see those great things, go ahead and express your joy. The Bible admonishes us in Ephesians 5:18-20: “And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit; Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord; Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ;”

It is the time to make melody, whether you feel happy or not. Do not wait till you feel happy before you sing a new song to God. As you speak God’s Word to yourself, you charge up your human spirit; you become filled with the Holy Ghost. At this stage, your recreated human spirit becomes completely dominated and influenced by God’s power and Presence. You have created the atmosphere for miracles! As the unending spring of joy wells up in your heart, you begin to manifest the Excellency of Jehovah. You see yourself overcome what used to be a great challenge easily. Ideas on how to meet your needs flood your human spirit and due to the abundant life that you live afterward, you begin to see the need to recreate your world by giving lives a meaning.

The Bible says that we should make a joyful noise unto the Lord. God loves to hear our joyful noise. God loves to inhabit the praises of His people. Keep praising and thanking Him for what He has done because you are living in what He has done. Jesus Christ is working on our behalf so that we can be joyous even when we face challenges or have any need. He said, “…ask that you may receive that your joy may be full” (John 16:24).

Glory to God! It is time to make a joyful noise to God. It is time to lead a joyful life because God delights in us and has given us His joy – An Unending Spring of Joy!

A New Life of Righteousness

August 17, 2010 in Community by Tonia

A New Life of Righteousness

There is something about righteousness, peace and joy. Righteousness is the nature of God that gives a man the ability to stand in the presence of God without any sense of guilt, inferiority complex or condemnation. It gives a man right standing with God the ability to do right. This is the nature of every believer in Christ. When you look into his eyes, you see love. His lifestyle reflects the righteousness, peace and joy that is in the Holy Ghost. He does not move alone. He is led by the spirit of God.

When Jesus died on the cross, He declared that it was finished. In essence, He meant that troubles and toiling were finished upon this earth. The journey to seeking for self-righteousness has ended. With the gift of righteousness bequeathed to us through His death, an intimate relationship with God is guaranteed. We are no longer ruled by the law. Anyone who lives rightly with God is free from the law and its consequences.

A man who has the right relationship with God has no cause to fear. Even when a man has all his needs in life met, he still complains. It is not enough to have these needs satisfied; what man really requires is a close relationship with God.

There are some strange people you meet, for the first time. They may never have seen or heard you speak before, yet they just do not like you at first sight. This is not the nature of a Christian. Some time ago, a young lady came to me, she said, `Years ago, I met this boy, there was something about him, I had never seen him before, but I just didn’t like him.’ Two days later, the person that she did not like came and made the same statement about her! I have seen such things happen several times. This is not the nature of God. His nature is Love.

Righteousness is the nature of God in our recreated human spirit. It makes the human spirit productive. It causes him to highlight God’s trait. This is the fruit of the recreated human spirit. This is found in Galatians 5:22-23

“But the fruit of the spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.”

Joy: The Product of Fellowship

Joy is the fruit of the Spirit. If someone feels that he cannot pray to God, the same way, he will feel that God cannot answer his prayers. This is because there is no relationship between them. There is an emptiness in a natural man’s life that needs to be filled by God. This relationship with God gives him joy. Joy is the product of fellowship with God, and fellowship is the secret of joy. Every born-again Christian has all the fruit of the spirit indwelling him because he has the nature of God.

You might feel that you are hot-tempered, quarrelsome or proud, but if you have given your life to Jesus Christ, you have all that it takes to exhibit the nature of God. All you need do is to allow your recreated human spirit to dominate, then you will begin to experience the manifestation of the fruit in your life. The nature of God is in you and that makes you all that He wants you to be. You must recognise and acknowledge who you are and where you belong, for you to live like Him. You must understand the kingdom in which you belong.

Prayer Gives Birth To Ideas

Prayer Gives Birth To Ideas

Prayer is important. If you really want to bring God into your situation, you have to pray. When you pray, something happens to you. Many people don’t know how and why they should pray.

Every time you want an idea, you’ll get it on your knees in prayer. It’s that time your spiritual eyes are open and you begin to see. Then, God can communicate with you through your creative spirit and something will come through. God will always give an idea. This is the key to all the things you want. So an idea from God is all you really need. With that idea, you can be, with that idea, you can get and with that idea you can have. You must therefore, spend time in prayer until the visions come to your spirit. You must continue to brood over those dreams, brood over those desires until you can speak the Word that will bring them to pass. When you speak the Word upon that vision you received in your spirit, it becomes a reality but only in the spirit world. It is the ideas that come to you while you are praying that will bring your vision into the material world. If you meditate upon these ideas long enough, till you are fully persuaded and they become real to you, your dreams will materialize.

But you don’t stop here. You have to go beyond praying and catching an idea. The idea must fill your thoughts and affect your confessions. The idea must be so strong in you that it becomes real to you. You must pray about these thingsoften so you can visualize yourself in that desired position and begin to act like you are there. You have to spend more time in prayer to bring you ideas to materialization. Jesus Christ spent time praying, and every time He came down from the mountain, tremendous miracles were wrought.

Do you want to achieve your goals? Then make up your mind! Through prayer, you can effectively change your life. You can get what you want. Spend time in prayer, don’t wander around looking for somebody that will tell you what to do and how to do it. You are a child of God so spend time to pray and God will tell you what to do; He will give you an idea. No matter what you are going through in life, take time to pray.

What is that thing you are praying about? What is that thing you want God to do for you? First of all, think about it. Set your mind on it then get on your knees to pray. Things do not just happen; you’ve got to make a deliberate move. Set it in your imagination, then commit it to God.

Ask God what you should do. Pray about it in the spirit then talk about it. By praying in the spirit, you are charging your own spirit and

preparing yourself to get aligned with God’s thoughts. At a particular point in time, the visions will come to you. While you are praying, it is possible that God will bring the visions to your spirit. He will begin to speak to you even when you are still speaking to Him.

This was how I got my first office: I had decided what kind of office I wanted for the things we would be doing. For days I lived in this dream, I began to speak it; it was so real to me. One day, driving through town, I notice a building with the sign `To Let.’ I took a look, and it fit my picture perfectly. But (here was the problem) I had no money. Before I knew what I was really doing, like a big shot, I had walked up to the house and told the agent I would pay in two weeks. But the money was not there then. However, within the stipulated time, through unexpected sources, the money came miraculously and the office was paid for. But it all started when I had it in my imagination.

Make up your mind not to waste your time. Don’t be a drifter in life. The future is here and it belongs to you. Whatever you want to do will work. As long as you set your heart upon it, it will happen.Your dreams must come true. You must have a testimony in your mouth and a song on your lips because God has done for you what you wanted Him to do.

Your Human Spirit – God’s Recreation

August 14, 2010 in Community by Tonia

Your Human Spirit – God’s Recreation

A child born amongst monkeys may behave like a monkey, but he will always have the nature of a man. However, he might go without clothes and feed on bananas because he was brought up amongst monkeys. He might climb trees like a monkey because that was what he was trained to do, but the moment he discovers that he can wear clothes, it will dawn on him that he does not belong to the family of monkeys. He then begins to lead a new lifestyle because he is awakened to the reality of the kind of life that he has. This is how a Christian progressively manifests the nature of God. Man is made to grow spiritually, and as he does, the fruit of the spirit becomes increasingly manifest in his life.

A man with a recreated spirit can do anything he sets his heart to do. For example, if you do not know how to sing but you desire to, you can commit that desire into the hands of the Holy Spirit and He will help you. Your desire might be to study to be intelligent; the Holy Spirit will help you. You can do all things through Christ who strengthens you. The recreated human spirit is designed to make progress. You do not have to struggle to excel since you already have all that it takes, just do excellent things! When you make up your mind to develop your human spirit, you will walk in God’s gifts and power and you will move in His glory.

God has recreated your spirit to know the difference between right and wrong. When you do right, joy wells up in you, but when you do wrong, you are convicted through your conscience – the voice of your recreated human spirit. The book of Luke 15:11-32 gives a parable that shows how God relates to every man that is ready to accept Him as his Father:

“And he said, a certain man had two sons: And the younger of them said to his Father, Father, give me the portion of goods that falleth to me. And he divided unto them his living. And not many days after the younger son gathered all together, and took his journey to a far country, and there wasted his substance with riotous living. And when he had spent all, there arose a mighty famine in that land; and he began to be in want…”

The prodigal son wasted his substance. God has given every believer the ability to get wealth but it is our responsibility to manage it well. It is wise to give, because when you give, you receive. But this man did not invest his substance into anything; he wasted it and lived a riotous life, ending in penury.

The story goes on further to say that he later fed on food given to swine. One day, he suddenly realised who he was and decided to go back to his Father’s house. As soon as his Father saw him from afar, he rushed down to embrace him. The first thing he told his Father was, “forgive me!”

“And the son said unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and in thy sight, and am no more worthy to be called thy son. But the Father said to his servants, bring forth the best robe, and put it on him; and put a ring on his hand, and shoes on his feet: And bring hither the fatted calf, and kill it, and let us eat and be merry:” (Luke 5:21-23).

Wisdom is the Principal thing

August 13, 2010 in Community by Tonia

Wisdom is the Principal thing

“Wisdom is the principal thing;…” (Proverbs 4:7).

It was all that King Solomon asked God for. And through his request he received a fortune. He was noted as one of the wealthiest kings that ever lived. Anyone who does not recognise the importance of wisdom will walk in foolishness and live a life of mistakes. You received the spirit of wisdom when you received Christ into your heart.

“But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption.” (1 Corinthians 1:30).

The book of Proverbs is filled with words of wisdom, telling us how vital wisdom is to man.

“Happy is the man that findeth wisdom and the man that getteth understanding. For the merchandise of it is better than the merchandise of silver, and the gain thereof than fine gold. She is more precious than rubies: and all the things thou canst desire are not to be compared unto her. Length of days is in her right hand; and in her left hand riches and honour. Her ways are ways of pleasantness and all her paths are peace. She is a tree of life to them that lay hold upon her: and happy is everyone that retaineth her” (Proverbs 3:13-18).

When people hear you, are they inspired by the words that come out of your mouth? The Bible says that it is not what a man takes in that defiles him, rather what comes out of his heart. It is amazing to know that it is the good treasure that you place in your heart that brings forth good seeds and these are manifested in your words. The Bible says that you should keep thy heart with all diligence, for out of it are the issues of life (Proverbs 4:23).

When you speak to people. How many do you inspire? Do people long to hear from you? When friends come to visit you, how much of God’s word do you speak? Do you just tell them, ‘There is no hope, sorry you just have to bear your cross’? Do you say, ‘That is your luck,’ or do you tell them what the Word says? When you observe that you are comfortable hearing the wrong things, you need to pray and instantly change. Decide that your tongue will speak blessings and encourage people to pray, preach and teach the Word of God.

I know an old lady who has many grand and great grand children. She usually cursed them and accused them of taking her things. She was always irritated at having these children around her. One day, her son asked me why she acted in that manner. He said that he had always thought the elderly ones represented wisdom and being around them was like having a repository of wisdom to go home to. He expected her to love her grand children and treat them with wisdom.

One major mistake people make is to attribute wisdom to grey hair or old age. But God’s wisdom is not like the wisdom of this world that is a counterfeit.

Called To a Life of Glory

August 12, 2010 in Community by Tonia

Called To a Life of Glory

God has called you to a life of progress, a life of success and a life of glory. You were recreated to experience the glory of God; you were made for that purpose. No matter what phase of life you’re in right now, I want you to know if you’re born again that God created you for a life of glory, so you ought to be experiencing His glory in your life.

I know people say that life is full of ups and downs but that’s no news. The direction our lives ought to be going is upward and forward. If you find yourself at the down part, you get up and go over! When you’re at the up part, you still go over! The down part shouldn’t make you despondent. No! In the valley, shout His praise; on the mountain top, you shout His praise also. Why? God is God everywhere!

The Psalmist said, “Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me… Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies…” (Psalm 23:4-5). God didn’t say you would not have enemies, but right there in their presence, He prepares a table for you. You see, life takes on a new meaning when you know where you’re going, you know the One Who’s with you and you know the kind of life that He has planned for you to live.
