There was once an island, where they lived together all the feelings and values of man:

good Humor, Sadness, Wisdon … but also everything else, including Love.

One day it was announced to the feelings that the island would submerge.

Then all prepared their boats and departed. Only the Love waited until the last moment.

When the island was about to sink, the Love decided to ask for help.

Wealth passed closer to Love on a luxurius boat and the Love told him: ”Wealth, can you take me with you?”

- ”I can’t because I have a lot of gold and silver in the boat there is no place for you.”

Then the Love decided to ask the Pride that was passing in a magnificent boat, ”Pride, please can you can take me with you?”

- ”I can’t take you Love,” replied the Pride, here everything is perfect and you could ruin my boat”.

Then the Love told to the Sadness that was approaching: ”Sadness, I pray, let me go with you.”

- ”Oh Love” replied the Sadness, ”I’m so sad I need be alone”.

Then the good Humor passed by the Love; but he was so glad that he did not hear that he was being called.

Suddenly a voice was heard: ”Come Love, I take you with me”, it was an aged man who had called.

The Love realized how much owed him and asked to the Knowledge: ”Knowledge, can you tell me who helped me?”

- ”It was the Time,” replied the Knowledge. Love felt so happy and full of joy that forgot to ask the aged man his name and when they reached the land, the aged man went away.

”The Time?” asked the Love to himself, ”why does the Time helped me?”.

The Knowledge full of wisdon replied: ”Because only the Time is able to understand how Love is so important in life”

“And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love.” 1 Corinthians 13:13 (NKJV)
