Prophecy is a word of power spoken to either foretell events or bring forth God’s Word into a situation in the now.
To prophecy therefore meeans to speak words of power, filled with the ability of God to cause changes and make things happen.

Prophecy of the word has two-fold application – foretelling and forth-telling. To foretell means to tell ahead of time the mind of God concerning a person or people, place or events. Forth-telling is the declaration of events in the mind of God .
There is the prophecy of a prophet and the gift of prophecy.

Prophecy has two-fold applicaation and in two categories we will find out shortly
