In today’s world, people would judge the quality of a product and use it on the strength of its brand name. Our God has His own “brand name” as it were. It’s the Name of Jesus! The Name of Jesus has been given to us (Acts 4:12). Therefore, learning to live in and function by the power of that Name is what guarantees the upward and forward life. In Philippians 2:10, we’re assured of the efficacy of the power in the Name of Jesus: “that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”
