Rebecca’s inspiring story of how her dreams came true!

I was born and brought up in Cardiff, Wales, where I became a hair stylist, working in high-end salons. Though I was doing great for myself, I wasn’t a committed Christian and I hardly ever went to church. My husband was different; he loved reading Rhapsody of Realities, and he urged me to also read it, but I always declined. I didn’t like the way he gave so much attention to it.

He, however, didn’t give up on me; often, I would hear him declare words like: “My wife is sold out for Jesus, and she’s fulfilling her purpose in Christ.” At the time, I didn’t know he was speaking faith-filled words; I thought he was having an affair with another woman, and I became furious. One day, I turned on the TV and watched two presenters talking about the devotional, and I was fascinated at how they were able to give an in-depth explanation of who God is and who I am in Christ. That was when I realized that my husband had been speaking about me all along! My life changed that day.

A time came when I needed to make an important decision; though I loved my job and wished to continue with it, my husband and I were ready to have kids, and I wanted to be a full-time mum, yet a successful businesswoman. This was a big concern to me as it didn’t seem practical. As I studied Rhapsody of Realities, I found out I could have whatever I desired, and God was even more willing to make it happen. This stirred up courage in me, and I resigned my position as an employed to become a freelance hairstylist.

This was one of the best decisions I ever made! My business began to thrive, and at the same time, it gave me the flexibility to spend quality time with my kids. It also presented me with soul-winning opportunities as I always ensure to take the devotional to every client’s home. Not only did God grant my heart’s desire, but he also gave me much more than I was expecting!
